Harold J .Tomaszewski, 88, of Lorain, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at his residence. Harold was born January 14, 1928 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Harold was employed as a tool & die maker for American Crucible during the majority of his working career retiring in 1993. He was a lifelong member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. He enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. He is survived by sons, James of Birmingham, AL, Edward of Jacksonville, FL, and Daniel (Sharon) of Jupiter, FL; daughter, Sally (Russ) Wright of Newcomerstown, OH; grandchildren Nicole and Donna; great-grandchild Bradley; sister Irene Williams of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his wife Francis (nee Wacker) May 29, 1999; parents John and Katherine (nee Cyran) Tomaszewski; brothers Constantine, Walter, Andrew, and Raymond; sister Helen. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 8th from 9 to 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 418 W. 15th. St., Lorain. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. The Reverend Fr. Robert Glepko will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
