Harry J. Good, age 79, of Vermilion, died Sunday, September 7, 2003 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain. He was born on November 5, 1923 in Bellaire, Ohio and has lived in Vermilion since 1964. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1942-1945. He worked as a Truck Driver for E&L Transport in Lorain for 20 years. He was a member of VFW Post 7576 in Vermilion, American Legion Post 397 in Vermilion and the First Baptist Church of Vermilion. He is survived by his daughters, Dixie Gail Elder of Woodsfield, OH and Patti Geilinger of Powhatan Point, OH; son, James Harry Good of Belmont, OH; step-daughter, Laurene Heaslip Fox of Vermilion; step-son, James E. Black of Vermilion; 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren; special friend, Helen Combs of Vermilion; sister, Virginia Stuckey of Alledonia, OH. Preceding him in death were his wife, Gloria M. Good, parents, Harry H. and Annabelle (nee Dawson) Good and a granddaughter, Cheryl Harris. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 from 2-4 / 7-9pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2003, with The Reverend Donald Resecker, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by the Vermilion Veteran's Council.
