Harry R. Hadaway, 82, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. He was born September 20, 1939, in Elyria and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 54 years moving from North Ridgeville and had served in the National Guard. Harry worked as a Tool and Die Maker, starting his career at Nordson, Amherst where he worked from 1960-1966. He then worked for Airborne, Elyria from 1966 to 1978 and retired from General Motors Delphi, Sandusky in 2008. He was a member of Amvets Post #22 and enjoyed Auto Racing, boating, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda (nee Keiper) Hadaway of Vermilion; son Todd (Marianne) of North Ridgeville; daughters, Lisa Hadaway of Vermilion, and Dawn Hadaway (Doug Dearth) of Vermilion; granddaughters, Brittany (Eric) Schreiner and Emily (Brad) Drown; great grandchildren, Matthew and Bentley Drown; Aaron and Allie Schreiner and Cody and Mason Shultz; plus, a niece Kimberly and nephew Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Kathryn (nee Meeks) Hadaway and his brother, Dale "Butch" Hadaway. All are welcome to join the Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 26, 2022, 3:30 pm to 6 pm at AMVETS Post #22 in the Banquet Hall, 1517 State Rd, Vermilion, OH 44089 with military honors and a service held at 4pm.
