Harvey Warner Vick, 82, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a lengthy illness. Harvey was born February 15, 1935 in Cleveland and had been a lifelong Vermilion resident. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during the Korean Conflict as a radio operator. Harvey worked as a Chemical Operator for B.F. Goodrich retiring in 1994. He was a member of Vermilion AMVETS #22. He enjoyed playing tennis at Fox Creek, loved to watch baseball and basketball on television, enjoyed gardening and was interested in politics. He is survived by his daughter, Kim L. Vick of Vermilion, and son, Harvey S. (Laura) Vick of Huron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette (nee Bansek) Vick and his parents, Harvey W. and Margaret (nee Dixon) Vick. The Amherst Veterans Council will conduct a military graveside service Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
