Hilda Liljegren

Hilda Margaret Liljegren (nee Creel), 89 of Vermilion, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. She was born June 29, 1918 in Morgantown, WV and has been a Vermilion resident since 1949. She and her late husband, Robert, co-owned Rob Hill Farm, a peach and asparagus business. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion. She graduated from West Virginia University and enjoyed reading, playing the organ and during the 1960's and 1970's she played dinner music for various social functions. Survivors include her sons: David and James Liljegren both of Vermilion; 2 grandsons; and brother, Lynn Creel of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Liljegren in 2005, parents, Elmer and Leila (nee Pocock) Creel; and brother, Robert Creel. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH 44089. The Rev. Louis Bertoni will officiate.
