Ida Dimacchia

Ida A. Dimacchia, 95, of Lorain, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Amherst Manor where she had been a resident for the past several years. Ida was born September 26, 1917 in Delmont, PA. She had been a lifelong Lorain resident . She graduated from Lorain High School Class of 1935A . Ida was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, the American Association of Retired Persons, the School Employee Retirees of Ohio, Inc., the School Employees Retirement System, and the S.O.H. Social Club. She was employed by the Lorain Board of Education as a school secretary for 25 years retiring in 1981. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Marcello & Carmella (nee D'Alesandro) Dimacchia, brothers Cal, John, Justy, and Bill, and sister Olivia Dettorre. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 16th from 4-7 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain . Prayers will be said at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Reverend Fr.
