Ira Mosley, 72, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2020 in his home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. He was born March 24, 1947 in Horse Creek, WV and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 50 years moving from Lorain. Ira worked as a Machine Operator for Bredero-Price, Lorain, previously Hill Hubbell and Standard Pipe, for 34 years, retiring in 2001. Ira enjoyed working on cars, mowing, playing cards, taking care of his 17 acre property and working with his hands. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, being with family and talking to his neighbors. He was a proud and devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Burkel) Mosley of Vermilion; sons, Donald Mosley of Huron and Jerry(Teresa) Mosley of Vermilion; grandchildren, Jaymee (Justin) Silva, Amanda (Max Schauder) Mosley, and Logan Mosley; great-grand children, Marcus Silva; brothers, Marvin Mosley of Amherst and Ernest Mosley of Vermilion; sisters, Ruth Browder of Colonial Heights, VA, Verna (Elmer) Waller of St. Point, OH, Belva (Chris) Dillon of Lorain, and Geraldine (Arnold) Hughes of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Naomi (Copley) Mosley. Private services will be held. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
