Irene May Wilbert

Irene May Wilbert, 48 of Elyria, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 in EMH Regional Health Center after a sudden illness. She was born August 24, 1959 in Amherst and has been an Elyria resident for the past 29 years moving from Vermilion. She graduated from Vermilion High School in 1977 and was working in the records department at Lorain County Community College where she was also attending classes. She was a member of the Arid Club, Elyria and enjoyed cross stitch and crocheting blankets. Survivors include sons: Andrew Wilbert, Matthew Wilbert, and Joseph Francisco of Elyria; daughter, Angela Garcia Hernandez of Sebring, FL; father Melvin Pine of Vermilion; brother, Rodney Pine of Green Springs, OH; sisters, Gina Burton of Marble Head, Mary Pine of Port Clinton, Jennifer Haupt of Wakeman; and 2 grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her mother, Marilyn (nee Schwarz) Pine in 2001. Friends may call Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
