Jack Philip Krill Jr., 69, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024 after a courageous battle with several complications.
Born on October 1, 1955, in Port Clinton, OH, Jack was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. He owned and operated Zone Expedited Trucking Co. for 34 years, retiring in 2019.
Jack was a devoted sports fan, following the Browns, Ohio State, and the Guardians. Jack was named to the Vermilion High School Sports Hall of Fame for basketball. Over the years, he found joy in coaching little league basketball and football and took pride in supporting his community by donating to the stands at Vermilion High School Stadium. He loved spending time on the water boating, golfing, and gathering with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Colette Krill of Vermilion; his daughter, Ashley (Adam) West of Texas; his sons, JP (Elena) Krill of Vermilion and Chas Wiencke of Lorain; his cherished grandchildren, Adleigh, Brinkley, Stetson, Makenna (Ben), Meadow, and Luke; and his great-grandchildren, Wesley and Lainey.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Sr. and Martha (nee Haines) Krill; his grandson, Michael; and his sisters, Jackie and Pam.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1 pm to 5 pm. at German's Villa 3330 Liberty Ave., Vermilion OH.
