Jack A. Yeamans, aged 76, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a brief illness.
Born on September 28, 1947, in Lorain, OH, Jack had been a Vermilion resident for the last 15 years, previously residing in Elyria, California, and Nevada.
A graduate of Vermilion High School, Jack dedicated himself to public service, serving as a Fireman for the City of Elyria, he had also worked at US Steel. His commitment extended to his community, where he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteer work at Grace's Kitchen. In his leisure time, he found solace in the simple joys of relaxing and watching television.
Jack is survived by his sisters, Sandra Neiding of Vermilion, and Toni Renee Yeamans of Minneapolis, MN, a nephew and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxwell Everett, and Lois (nee Egbert) Yeamans.
A graveside service to honor Jack's life will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Ave., P.O. Box 2, Vermilion, Ohio. and Graces Kitchen at 3747 Liberty Ave, Vermilion, OH 44089.
