Jackie "Jack" VanWinkle, 66, of Vermilion, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 9, 2025, following a sudden illness.
Born on April 14, 1958, in Norton, Virginia, Jack moved to Vermilion two years ago after living in Berlin Heights.

Jack was always eager to keep busy and could often be found tinkering in his garage. Above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his beloved granddaughters who affectionately referred to him as Pop and Poppy.
Jack leaves behind his devoted wife of 38 years, Lisa (nee Harmon) VanWinkle of Vermilion; his children, Stacy VanWinkle of Monroeville, Nikki VanWinkle of Strongsville, Justin VanWinkle of Vermilion, and Mallori VanWinkle of Vermilion; grandchildren, MaKenzie, Ariana, and Daven; his siblings, Denise Wedeman, Sonia (Roger) Dancy, Tami (Tommy Litz) Ortman, and Donnie (Joella) VanWinkle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. and Zere (nee Caudill) VanWinkle, and his sister, Jodi Salmons.
