Jacob John Carmon, 94, of Elyria, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Center Ridge Health Care Center where he had been a resident for the past three years. Jacob was born November 6, 1917 in Avon, OH, to the late Joseph and Frances (nee Spanier) Carmon. Jacob worked for Lear Siegler Inc. as a Maintenance Supervisor for 42 years. He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, and attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton. Jacob and his wife of 67 years Dolores Mae (nee Biltz) wintered in Florida for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his son Jacob "Jack" (Marjorie) Carmon of Lagrange; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Mae, son James Carmon, and daughter, Frances Murphy. The family will receive friends on Monday November 14th from 10 to 11 A.M. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel 708 Erie St., Grafton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. The Reverend Fr. John Seabold will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
