Jacqueline Lee Gurchik (nee Toth), 73, of Vermilion, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic Richard E Jacobs Health Center in Avon after a lengthy illness. Jacqueline was born October 29, 1943 in Cleveland, OH. She grew up in Vermilion and moved in the 1960's away to start a young family before moving back to the Vermilion area in the 1980's. . She graduated from Vermilion High School and received her nursing degree from LCCC. She was a registered nurse for Mercy Hospital and Mill Manor and worked in home health care. She participated in the local fellowship for The Way International. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. â She is survived by her daughter, Kristine (nee Ollis) (Frank) Destro of Olmsted Falls; son, Scott Spalding of Vermilion; grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, and Brandan Spalding of Vermilion; sister, Sharon (nee Toth) Longworth of Stuart, FL; and a nephew Dylan Longworth of Clermont, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Lois (nee Apel) Toth; step-mother, Dixie Toth; aunt Ruth Boland; a nephew, Adam Longworth; and her dogs, Sugar, Brandy, Buddy, and Julie. â The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Mr. Richard Gardenhire will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
