James Albert Fischer

James Albert Fischer , age 70, of Vermilion, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Stein Hospice Center, Sandusky. Jim graduated from Vermilion High School in 1960. He sailed the Great Lakes, and spent time with many friends in the West. Jim worked as a designer on the early space flights, and on advanced medical equipment. He was an author. He is survived by his wife, Candace (nee Schisler); father, Hank Fischer of Vermilion; brother, David Fischer of Vermilion; Judi Fischer; nieces Sondra (Mohammed) Diane', and Katie (Tom) LaLonde; nephew Scott Fischer; many loved cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet "Mac" Fischer (nee McIntyre). There will be no visitation and private services will be held at a later date. Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St., Vermilion is assisting the family with arrangements.
