James Tony Hickman

James Tony Hickman, 68, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at The Meadows at Osborn Park. James was born November 6, 1945 in La Follette, TN. He had been a Vermilion resident since 1973 moving from Whites Landing, Ohio. James worked for Ford Automotive Plant, Avon as a truck driver retiring in 1996. He was a member of Gibson Masonic Lodge, Wakeman and enjoyed Blue Grass music, playing the guitar and singing. He is survived by his wife, Janet Hickman (nee Harkness) of Vermilion; sons, Kurt E. (Jo) Hickman of Florence Township, James Bryan Hickman of Maggie Valley, NC; grandsons, Dylan James and Mason Aaron Hickman; sisters, Barb Ensign of Norwalk and Kay Seiber, Briceville, TN and brother, Ronnie Hayes, Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Horance and Grace (nee Hayes) Hickman and a brother, Eugene Hickman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion ,OH. Gibson Masonic Lodge # 301 will conduct Masonic Services at 6:30 p.m. Friends may also call on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at noon at the funeral home. The Reverend David Clarke will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
