James Jay Hubach, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, 75, of Vermilion passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 9, 1947 in Lakewood and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 36 years. He had also lived in Avon Lake and Bay Village.
James worked for Raykon Plating. He ran a plating line for 43 years.
He attended Max Hayes High School and Cleveland Trade School. He was a member of the Lorain Moose Club and the Huron Eagles Club. He had a passion for boating and did a complete renovation of an 18 ft. Chris Craft and won "Best of Show" and first place at the Vermilion Antique Boat Show in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette Ellen Hubach (nee Winterfield ) of Vermilion; daughter, Kristen Marie (Kenneth) Behnke of Brunswick; sister, Sandra (Gary) Maxwell of Clermont, FL, granddaughter, Brlanna Behnke Baxter; grandson, Jaden Behnke; brother-in-law, Kevin Watkinson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jayne Watkinson and parents, Jay Henry and Wilda Mae (nee Cladwick) Hubach.
