James M. Muncy

James M. Muncy, 55, of Vermilion, died Nov. 16, 2021 as the result of a boating accident on Lake Erie. He was born March 12, 1967 in Elyria and had been a life long Vermilion area resident. James worked for the Operating Engineers Local 18, Cleveland for over 31 years. He started as a Laborer and spent the last 21 years as an Operating Engineer. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, sportsman, and enjoyed traveling. He could fix anything and was know as a master of all trades. He will be missed by his many close friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Nancy (nee Iverson) Muncy of Wakeman; children, Ashley Muncy of Statesville, NC, Jessica Muncy of Lebanon, Oregon; and Jacob Muncy of Columbus, OH; partner and fiancé, Sherry Lane of Vermilion; grandchildren, Amila Stone, Ariana Stone and Chayise Kurdinat; sisters, Teresa (John) Porter of Amherst and Janice (Eldon Brummitt) Timko-Muncy of Collins; brother, Marvin (Erin) Muncy of Newark, OH; and nieces and nephews.
