Janet M. Harlock

Janet M. Harlock passed away on June 21, 2023 following a short illness.

She was one of seven daughters raised in Farnborough, England by Fred and

Winifred Staples. She re-located to Akron, Ohio in 1977. She worked for The

American Red Cross and Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. Akron remained

her family’s home until 2001 when she and her husband Ken moved to Vermilion to

enjoy retirement.

She loved her family, knitting, cross stitch, and winters spent in Everglades City,

Florida, as well as traveling back to her home in England when she was able.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and son, Alan. She will be deeply

missed by her family - husband of 64 years, Ken; son, Neil (Karen); daughter, Karen

Jensen; daughter-in-law, Becky; grandchildren, Mercedes, Brandon, Rachel, Melissa,

Emma, Derek; great grandchildren, Londynn and Theodore; as well as nieces,

nephews, & many friends made along the way.

Family & friends will be received at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion on Sunday June 25 th from 2-3:30 pm, memorial service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
