Janis M. "Bunny" Varabkanich (née Kovac), 68 of Vermilion passed Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Beloved wife of Steven Varabkanich; mother of Steven Jr. and Jill (Koppmann); grandmother to Gavin and Talon (Koppmann); sister to Joanne (McIntyre) and Ken (Kovac) and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Emily (Dubnicka) Kovac; identical twin sister Janet "Bambi"(Vogel) and her husband Jim; and nephews Danny and Sean (McIntyre). Bunny was an incredibly devoted wife and mother to her children; grandmother and sister to her family; and the center of the universe and "Mama" to her beloved dogs. Living a simple life, she was a philanthropic and selfless person that would give whatever she had and was always there to support those in a moment of need whether it was a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on during trying times. Highly involved with youth sports organizations, Bunny served as team mom and scorekeeper to newsletter editor and fundraising chair. Bunny was the life of any gathering and was a jokester that would have you laughing until it hurt. She loved to bring people together and would tirelessly host holiday gatherings, parties and banquets. She was an incredibly creative and talented artist dabbling in many crafts during her lifetime that eventually turned into a successful second career and business that earned her the name "Snowman Lady" and landed her products on the cover of a national magazine. Bunny had an indescribable love for her identical twin sister Bambi and together they were a force to be reckoned with and could light up any room with laughter. They left us with love and laughter during their days and now are back together smiling upon us. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 11am until the time of Celebration of Life Service at 12 noon at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street; Vermilion, Ohio. Immediately following the service there will be a luncheon at Germans Villa Event Center in Vermilion.
