Jason Scott Peters

Jason S Peters, 59, of Vermilion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

He was born March 10, 1967 in Lorain, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 12 years.

Jason was a proud veteran of the United States Army, he honorably served on many tours in Qatar and Iraq. He was proud of the advancements he made in his military career, especially earning his rank of staff sergeant, earning his air assault badge, being a cannon crew member for most of his career, and earning the Bronze Star of Service award. Following his service in the military, Jason worked for Camaco Lorain Manufacturing for many years.

He was a father, grandfather, uncle and big brother. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed playing games and being with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Jacob (Jessica) Peters and Justin Peters; grandchildren, Melanie, Carson and Bailey; and his siblings, Joel Peters, Jeremy Peters, Joshua Peters and Stacy Peters; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Susan L. (nee Jakubec) Peters; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Graveside services will be Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 12:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH 44273.
