Jayne Jones

Jayne Jones(nee Mohney), 60, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a lengthy illness.

She was born February 17, 1962 in Ashtabula, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 40 years moving from Ashtabula.

Jayne worked for Mercy Hospital in the Rehab Department for over 25 years.

She attended Harbourtown Community Church. She enjoyed gathering friends and family; watching crime shows, playing scrabble, going to the beach and sunbathing. She was generous and fun.

She is survived by her son, David (Stacy) Jones of Vermilion, OH; grandchildren, Isabelle, Grant, Annabelle, Max, Claire, Evelyn and Jade; siblings, Forrest (Debbie) Mohney of Ashtabula, Pamela Watts of Ashtabula, Gerald Watts of Ashtabula and Russell Gaylord of PA and nephews, Forrest Mohney, III and Alex Mohney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Wayne Mohney and Cora Mae Coffelt.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2022, 11:00 am until the time of service at Harbourtown Community Church, 873 State Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
