Jean Elber

Jean Alice Elber (nee Betz), 91, formerly of Vermilion, died Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Starkey Place Assisted Living, Painesville, OH after a lengthy illness. She was born November 3, 1929 in Lakewood, OH and moved from North Olmsted to Vermilion in 1983. Jean worked as a purchasing agent for Banc Systems, Westlake for 18 years before becoming a customer service representative for Society Bank in Vermilion. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Vermilion and the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, bridge, and oil painting. She is survived by her sons, Douglas Paul Elber of North Royalton, Dan Joseph Elber of Brunswick, and P. D. Elber of Mentor; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Elber in 1990; her parents, Harold and Alice (nee Grills) Betz; and her sister, June Sheerer . Private services were held.
