Jean D. Gerhart (nee Dunham), 92, of Vermilion, died Monday, August 30, 2004, in Community Health Partners West, Lorain. She was born August 4, 1912, in Berea, Ohio. She had lived most of her life in Rocky River. She wintered in Boca Raton, FL from 1975-1990 and had spent her summers at Linwood Park in Vermilion since she was 8 years old. She graduated from Hathaway Brown School and attended Connecticut College. She was a member of Unity Church, Westlake, the Lakewood Hospital Junior Board, Westwood Country Club, and Beachcliff Garden Club. She voluntered for the American Cancer Society and enjoyed bridge, and flower arranging. Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. John R. (Nancy G.) Trinter of Vermilion, and Mrs. Harold S. (Gail G.) Haller of Rocky River; 4 grandchildren, Stephen Trinter, Lisa Lilly, John Haller and Kathryn Haller; 2 great-grandchildren, Paige Trinter and Cole Trinter. Preceding her in death were her husband, Arthur J. Gerhart in August 24, 1989 and her parents, Ray and Elsa (nee Nau) Dunham. Private family graveside services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Woodvale Cemetery, Berea. The Reverend Louis Bertoni, former pastor of the United Church of Christ, Vermilion, will officiate. Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, is handling arrangements.
