Jean Walker

Jean Walker (nee Kramer), 79 of Vermilion , died Thursday, September 3, 2009 in Good Samaritan Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Avon after a lengthy illness. She was born January 13, 1930 in Lorain, Ohio and had been a Vermilion resident since 1992 and had also lived in Cape Coral, FL. She worked as an Executive Secretary for U.S. Steel for 33 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion, a former member of the Altar Rosary Society, and she enjoyed reading, attending church, and visiting with friends. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Oda L. Walker; daughter, Jan McKewon of Ft. Meyers, FL; sons, Jeffery and Scott Walker of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann St. Julian of Painesville, and brothers, Paul (Marlene) Kramer of Lorain and Father Noel Kramer Tiffin, Ohio. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ralph and Irene (nee Schuler) Kramer. Friends may call Monday, September 7, 2009 from 2-4 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10 am followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church 731 Exchange St. Vermilion.
