Jerry Allen Marcum "Stub", 66, of Berlin Heights, died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born November 2, 1956 in Amherst and had been a Berlin Heights resident for the past year moving from Vermilion where he had lived most of his life.
Jerry worked for Ford Motor Co as an assembler and fork lift operator for 36 years, retiring in 2009.
He was a member of the UAW #425 and the Coon Hunters Club where he was active as an officer and Turkey Shoot judge. He enjoyed participating in Turkey Shoots, cars, motorcycles, boating, jet skiing, and four wheeling. He was a backyard mechanic and loved anything with a motor. Jerry was interested in wild tigers and had pictures of them all over his house and also had many loyal canine companions throughout the years.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Heather) Marcum of Wakeman; Jessie; Christopher (Amanda); daughter, Stacy (Jeremiah) Studstill of Wellington; 7 grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Lee (Brian) Callison of AL; brothers, Larry (Debbie) Marcum of Amherst and Garry (MaryAnn) Marcum of Amherst.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Georgia "Ro" (nee Bray) Marcum and his sisters, Janet Yvonne Sapienza and Diane Dickel.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Farrell Keith will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
