Jo Ann Seker, 89, died peacefully in Camp Hill, PA on January 19th, 2020 attended by her son Greg and grandson Kevin. She is survived by her immediate family, including three sons Mark Seker (living in Portland, OR), Greg Seker (Lewes, DE), Chris Seker (New Orleans, LA); 8 grandchildren (Mark’s:) Abe, Koh, (Greg’s:) Drew, Kevin, Jillian, (Chris’s:) Stephanie, Jennifer, Micheal; and 3 great-grandchildren: (Drew’s:) 2, (Kevin’s:) 1 Family members preceding her in death include her husband of 18 years Philip Donald Seker, daughter Carl Veith and brother Charles Johnson. Jo grew up in Tabor, Iowa and graduated from Northwestern University. She became a Physical Education teacher and specialist working with elementary-aged students in her final teaching years in Vermilion, OH. After retiring from education she maintained professional employment with several non-profit organizations, including CEAFU (Concerned Educators Against Forced Unionism), the National Right to Work organization, and the latter’s state affiliates. She was a devoted wife and an amazing mother, raising four children by herself after the untimely loss of husband Phil when her kids were school-aged. Her Life Celebration Open House will be held on June 25, 2022 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Vermilion Country Club, 12210 W Lake Rd, Vermilion, OH.
