Joan P Dalton

Joan P. Dalton (nee Schuman), 90, of Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Kingston Residence of Vermilion. Joan was born November 9, 1927 in Hammond, IN and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 15 years. Joan worked as an accountant for McDonald's Corporation for 60 years before her retirement. She was a member of a Pi Epsilon Kappa (Alpha Province) and enjoyed traveling to Australia to visit her daughter. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Chris (Wendy) Dalton of Huron, Kevin (Polly) Dalton of Valparaiso, IN, and Tom (Debbie) Dalton of Lansing, MI; daughter, Dr. Laura (Garry) Ecker of Perth, Australia; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Dalton and her parents, John and Anna (nee Matson) Schuman. At the family's request, all services are private.
