Joanne M. Kamholz (nee Lindstrom), 72, of Vermilion, was called home to the Lord Saturday, April 9, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph surronded by her loving family after a long battle with lung disease. Born November 14, 1938 in Bowmansville, NY, she had been a Vermilion resident for 45 years moving from Lorain. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion, the UAW Local #425 Aux., and a life member of the Amvets Post #22 Aux. She was an avid bowler prior to her illness. She loved gardening, dancing, reading, puzzles, BINGO, was deeply devoted to her family and lived life to the fullest. She was a mother to many. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 54 years, James Kamholz Sr.; sons, James Jr. (Tina) Kamholz of Amherst, Rick (Crystal) Kamholz of Vermilion; sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Rozler of Buffalo, NY and Barbara (James) Kowalski of AL; brother, John Lynch of Buffalo, NY; step grandchildren: Jacob, Tiffany, Joshua, Charlie Jr., Taneesha, and Amanda; 6 great grandchildren; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret (nee Matters) Lindstrom and her biological mother Mabel Lynch (nee Lindstrom). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10:00 am followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church 731 Exchange St. Vermilion. The Reverend Fr. Ronald Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family suggests memorial contributions to New Life Hospice of St. Joseph 5255 N.
