John C Hannah

John C. Hannah, 78, of Vermilion, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at University Hospitals of Cleveland after complications from unknown factors. He was born July 22, 1938 in Marlinton, WV, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 46 years moving from South Amherst. John started his career on the line at Ford Motor Co. Lorain. He retired from the maintenance paint department in 1996 after 39 1/2 years. He was a member of the UAW #425 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, and going home to West Virginia to visit. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cynthia (nee Dull) Hannah of Vermilion; daughter, Karen (Michael) Strzelecki of Arlington, TX; son, Steven Hannah of Plainville, MA; grandchildren, William and Katherine Strzelecki and Cade and Alicia Hannah; brother, Jimmy Hannah of Lorain; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Jessie (nee Fortune) Hannah; sister, Lois Meadows; and his brothers, Dale and Charlie Hannah. Private services were held.
