John R. Lee

John R. Lee, 77, of Vermilion, joined his wife in eternal happiness Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain. John was born March 10, 1936 in Ripley, MS. He had been a Vermilion resident since 1961. He was a veteran of the United States Marines Corp. John worked for Ford Motor, Lorain as a welder retiring April 17, 1990. He enjoyed yard work, watching NASCAR, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.. He is survived by his sons, Steven (Melissa) Lee , Vermilion and Jeffrey Lee, Lorain; daughters, Karen Kramer of Norwalk and Hilda (Bill) Ratti of Berlin Heights; 7 grandchildren; a great granddaughter and a brother, Jimmy Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Joy Lee and parents, John A. and Dessie (nee Parish) Lee. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
