John Mastorovich

John Mastorovich, 75 of Sheffield Lake, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at his home. He was born January 16, 1930 in Adderly, PA, moving to Lorain in 1958. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He worked in maintenance for the Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Lorain; VFW Post #8686, Sheffield Lake, AmVets Post #22, Vermilion, and American Legion, Elyria. He enjoyed sports and camping. He and his wife spent six months of the year in Sebring, FL. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (nee Harper) Mastorovich; daughter, Vera Ann Sutter of Sheffield Village; sons, Allen D. Mastorovich of Vermilion, and Patrick M. Mastorovich of Eaton Township; 11 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Thomas Mastorovich of Trafford, PA, Steve and Michael Mastorovich of Murrysville, PA, Samuel Mastorovich of Sheffield Lake; sisters, Martha Sunderland of Export, PA, Mildred Romanelli of Murrysville, Mary Vukelick of Pittsburgh, PA; and, many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Milan and Mary (nee Benckich) Mastorovich; sisters, Betty Hrehas, Ann Watt, and Danice McNelly; brothers, George and Merco Mastorovich; and, grandson, Wesley Steven Grace. Friends may call Thursday, August 18, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Friday, August 19 from 10:30 am until the time of the service at 11 am at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Rev. Jay Roller, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Lorain, will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.dombrowskifuneralhome.com
