John F. Tallitsch

John F. Tallitsch, age 67, of Vermilion, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Lakewood Hospital due to complications from a brief illness. John was born January 25, 1948 in Chicago, IL and had been a summer and year round Vermilion resident for the past 44 years. He was awarded a Bachelors degree from North Central College, and a Masters degree from Loyola University of Chicago. John was a marketing and sales consultant, and was the founder and managing director of TopMark, LLC. He was a member of Old Stone Church in Cleveland, Cleveland Yachting Club, and Main Street Vermilion. He enjoyed golfing, kayaking, traveling, and listening to music. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Linda (nee Geiger); dearest children Tom (Carrie) Tallitsch of Jersey City, NJ, Sarah (Tom) Jankovic and their children Lincoln and Alayna of North Ridgeville, and Bill (Julie) Tallitsch, and their children Emery and Adrienne of Hamilton, NJ; brother Robert (Mary) Tallitsch of Moline, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Eleanor (nee Boyde) Tallitsch. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15th from 2-5 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
