John Weber, 81, of Vermilion, died Thursday, August 7, 2025 at UH Elyria Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born July 26, 1944 in Oberlin, OH and had been a lifelong Vermilion resident.
John worked for Glidden Company, Huron as a Cost Accountant for most of his career.
He was a member of The Vermilion Fish and Game for many years. He had a love for fishing and music that was passed onto his children and grandchildren. John spent many years on Lake Erie fishing with his brother and friends. He was a collector of guitars and enjoyed playing them at home in his free time.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy (Paul) Tansey of Johns Island, SC; son, Eric Weber of Kennett Square, PA, grandchildren, Josh, Cole, and Riley Tansey and Ty and Brianna Weber; and his brother, James (Cathy) Weber of Vermilion, OH
He was preceded in death by his wife, Candice Marie Weber in 2021, parents, John Barry and Florence (nee Coates) Weber; and his stepfather, Frank Jones.
Private services will be held
