John C. Wysocki, 47 of Lorain, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born August 28, 1960 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident. He was employed at the Ford Motor Company Avon Lake Plant as an assembler and repairman. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1978, was an avid sports fan and will be remembered for his sense of humor. He also enjoyed working out, playing golf and tennis, boxing and wrestling. Survivors include his father, Frank Wysocki of Lorain; sons, Aaron J. Wysocki and Brandon J. Wysocki, both of Lorain; daughter, Cassondra J. Wysocki of Lorain; grandchildren, Kirsten, Gabriel, Donovan, Jacob, Katherine, Carolyn, Cortney and Justin; sisters, Barbara Critelli of Sheffield Lake, Jo-Ann Rodriguez of Lorain, Catherine Ellis of Amherst; brothers, Frank Wysocki and Joseph Wysocki, both of Lorain; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded-in-death by his mother, Norma Jean (nee Smith) Wysocki and a nephew, Daniel Critelli. Friends may call Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the funeral home at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain, will officiate. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
