Jose L. Peguero

Jose L. Peguero Sr., 89, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness. Jose was born October 27, 1927 in Loveland, CO and had been a Lorain resident for the past 60 years. Jose retired from National Gypsum in 1995 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching old movies, working in the garden, and playing cards with his family. He is survived by children, Jose (Jackie) Peguero, Jr., Gilbert Peguero, Rosalinda (Joe) Pina, and Rachel Peguero; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Peguero (nee Arredondo); parents, Octaviano and Marcela (nee Luna) Peguero; grandson, Joshua Malone; sister, Juanita Lerma; and step son, Lee Arredondo.
