Joseph J. Antolich, 74 of Vermilion, died Friday, July 11, 2008 in Lake Pointe Health Center, Lorain, after lengthy illness. He was born February 21, 1934 in Walhonding, Ohio and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 22 years moving from Elyria. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a carpenter for Yunker Construction. He graduated from St. Jude's High School, Elyria where he served as an altar server. He attended St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. He was a member of the Carpenter�s Union and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his sister, Veronica Will of Vermilion, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Mary (nee Starosky) Antolich and sisters, Mary Stevens, Anna One sky, Helen Christensen, Sue Fenderbouch, Irene Deimling. Friends may call Monday, July 14, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of prayers at 10:30 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH 44089. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion, with Rev. Francis J. Speiers, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military graveside services.
