Joseph Brian Horvath, 51, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at University Hospitals of Cleveland after a short illness with leukemia. He was born August 23, 1963 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 12 years moving from Lorain. Joseph worked for Hydro Tube, Oberlin as a shipping manager for the past 20 years. He was very active with the Lorain County Hot Stove baseball program and the Vermilion High School football and baseball programs. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and family. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Carolyn (nee Lewandowski) Horvath; sons, Brian Horvath, Jacob and Branden Horvath both at home; daughter, Katelynne Horvath at home; 3 grandchildren; father, John Horvath of Myrtle Beach, NC; half brothers, Rick, Roger, and David Sheaves; and sisters, Vicki Greene and Lynne Horvath. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie (nee Hansha) Horvath. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 from 1:00 pm until the time of a funeral service at 4 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH.
