Joseph James "Jamie" Lacinak III, 39, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017. Jamie was born July 16, 1977 in Oberlin, OH and was raised in Vermilion. He attended Vermilion city schools and was employed as a chef for many years. He enjoyed creative cooking, weight lifting, collecting sports memorabilia, and he excelled in baseball. He is survived by his mother, JoAnn Lacinak of Elyria; father, Joseph James (Barbara) Lacinak Jr; sons, Joey and Travis; siblings, Julia (Ryan) Jasko of West Chester, Jacob Lacinak, Tara Lacinak of Colorado Springs, CO, William Lacinak of Vermilion, Aidan Lacinak of Colorado Springs, CO, Bridget Andrews of Cleveland, and Amy Beth (Nate) Herman of Golden, CO; niece, Cate; nephew, Rett; an uncle; and numerous aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 11:00 am until the time of a memorial service at 1:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Reverends Tom Leonhardt and Carolyn Horvath will co-officiate. Inurnment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
