Joseph G. Passinisi

Joseph G. Passanisi, age 75, of Lorain, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a long illness. He was born on July 13, 1929 in Lorain, Ohio and was a life-long resident. He graduated from Lorain High School. He was a WW II veteran having served in the Army from 1950-1952. During that time, he had trained with the 5th Army Quartermaster Corps. He worked for 20 years in retail sales for the former O'Neils May Company in Lorain, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain and also attended the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain. He loved music and especially enjoyed adding to his record collection of over 5000 records. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Barbara (nee Giedlinski) Passanisi; step-daughter, Lynne Ross of Huron, OH; step-son, Paul E. Troxel of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Frances LiCause of Akron, OH; 2 grandchildren; 3 nephews and 1 niece. Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul and Anna (nee Puma) Passanisi and a sister, Jean Patrillo. Friends may call Friday, March 25, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Services will be held at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at 10:00 am. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church will officiate. Interment with military honors by the Lorain DAV will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis,TN 38105-1905. Online condolences may be made at www.dombrowskifuneralhome.com.
