Joseph R. Poltrone, age 54, of Lorain, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004 in the emergency room at Community Health Partners in Lorain following a sudden illness. He was born on November 10, 1949 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School and received his bachelors of science degree from Bowling Green University. He worked as the office manager for All American Tracks in Lorain for the past 15 years. He is also a former Lorain Councilman 4th Ward. He was a social member of the Italian American Veterans Club in Lorain. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Poltrone (nee Kutting) of Lorain; daughters, Michelle Parsons and Dina Poltrone, both of Lorain; step-sons, Russell Beljan of Ashland, Brett Beljan of Lorain and Todd Beljan of Elyria; 4 grandchildren; mother, Theresa Poltrone of Lorain and a sister, Sandra Kozar of Amherst. He was preceded-in-death by his father, Joseph L. Poltrone. Friends may call on Friday, May 14, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00am on Saturday, May 15, 2004, with the Reverend Robert J. Glepko, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
