Joseph Allen Staszak, 46, of Vermilion, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at St. John West Shore Hospital after prolonged heath complications.
Born on October 7, 1977, in Lorain, OH, Joe was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. He graduated from Vermilion High School in 1996 and worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 129. In 2011, he began his second career as a maintenance supervisor at the Water Purification Plant for the City of Lorain.
Joe was a member of the Vermilion Fish and Game and cherished the outdoors, enjoying boating, shooting, archery, hunting with his father and grandfather, fishing, and camping in the Outer Banks with his family. Joe cherished the moments that he spent with his family.
Joe is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nicole (née Sacket) Staszak; his daughters, Brooklyn and Allison Staszak; his mother, Barbara Staszak of Vermilion; his sister, Melanie Timko of Austin, TX; his nephew, Alexander; and his niece, Gabriella.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Allen Staszak; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mona Staszak; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Geraldine Toth.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.

Joe will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, and brother. His kind generous spirit was evident in both life and beyond, as he chose to be an organ donor.
