Judith Findley

Judith Anne Findley (née Harrell), 78, of Vermilion, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, after a lengthy illness.

Born April 13, 1947, in Lorain, OH, Judy made Vermilion her home for the past 37 years after moving from Lorain. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lorain Builder Supply for 33 years, retiring in 2003.

A devoted member of St. Mary Parish in Vermilion, Judy enjoyed a full and active life. She loved boating and fishing with her family, traveling to Las Vegas where she especially enjoyed playing video poker, and cheering on her beloved Cleveland Browns - proudly holding season tickets since 1982. She also enjoyed crafts, gardening, camping, had been an avid bowler, and treasured time spent with her family above all.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dennis Findley; her children Lisa Hurst (Brian Hazelett) of Lorain, Shelley Reddy (Joe Huya) of Huron, Dennis Findley Jr. of Vermilion, and Debra Hurst (Brian Trifiletti) of Lorain; grandchildren Samantha, Nicholas, Ashley, Zachary, Mikayla, Jacob, and Alexander; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Twila) Harrell, Lawrence (Kelly) Harrell, Allen (Karon) Harrell, and Charles (Penny) Harrell; sisters Mary Ann Smith and Karen Frailey; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Thelma (née Shedron) Harrell; her brother, Randolph Harrell; and her sister, Laura Baisden.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
