Judy A. Adamson, 82, of Amherst, passed away, Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Amherst Manor after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 19, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN and had been an Amherst resident for the past 23 years moving from Lorain.

She had many jobs, but her favorites were Saint Joseph Hospital, Lorain County Prosecutor's Office, Child Support and Attorney Barry Eckstein in Oberlin, Ohio.

Judy loved music, dancing, playing cards and reading. Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend whose warmth and devotion to her family will be missed by all who knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Leona (nee Ellis) Adamson and her son, Chad Landes.

Judy was a beloved sister to Lynne Adamson (); and Sandy (Deceased) (William) Nuss, and their daughter, Christy; and Bonnie (Bill) Hemline. She was a cherished aunt to Melissa; Brian (deceased); great-aunt to Lori, Kelli (deceased), Michael and Eric and great-great-aunt to Cheyenne.

Judy is survived by her son, Sean Landes. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Chaz Landes, Nik Landes, Alaina Landes and Katelin McPhie, who brought endless pride and joy to her life. She was also blessed with two beautiful great granddaughters, Avianna Landes and Wrenley Landes, who were the light of her later years.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 12 Noon - 2 p.m. at On The Avenue (North Side of Rebmans Bowling Alley), 5300 Oberlin Ave. Lorain, OH. Family, friends and guests will enjoy the opportunity to sign a memorial book, share memories, and watch a video. Immediately after, the family is having a reception for fellowship, a meal and refreshments.

Judy's life was defined by her love for family, her strength through life's challenges, and the special bond she shared with each generation. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed
and forever remembered.
