Judy Rose Larizza (nee Shilling), 73, of Vermilion, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a 9 month battle with uterine cancer. Judy was born November 19, 1944 in Columbus , OH, and had been a life long Vermilion resident. Judy retired from Support Care which provided care and transportation for mentally challenged adults, was a preschool teacher at Firelands Community Day School, bartender at McGarvey's, owned a hair salon, and was a cake decorator. She was involved in the PTA, Welcome Wagon, and was a Girl Scout leader. She was a drummer for the Satin Dolls and Brandywine. She enjoyed socializing, board games, puzzles, trivia, watching Cleveland sports, harassing men, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Tony (Rhonda) Larizza of Vermilion; daughter, Lisa (David) Bartlebaugh of Vermilion; sisters, Linda Francis, who was her partner in crime, and Vivian Hamilton, both of Vermilion; brother, John (Sue) Shilling of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Alanna, Nick, Emma, Haley, and Aiden; great-granddaughter Raina; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Evelyn (nee Nicholson) Shilling. Everyone is invited to join Judy's family to celebrate her life on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 1-4 pm at German's Villa, 3330 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, Ohio.
