Julie Lynn Pechaitis, 53, of Vermilion, died Monday, March 25, 2024 at Richard E. Jacobs Health Center Avon after a brief illness.

She was born July 1, 1970 in Amherst, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 20 years.

Julie worked as a Physical Therapist for over 30 years serving the local nursing homes.

She was a loving and devoted mother and family member, known for hosting family events and activities. She was great at bringing people together and taught us all to have fun and enjoy the moment. She enjoyed watching the Browns games, playing volleyball, camping, and being outdoors.

She is survived by her fiancé, Kevin Malinowski; son, Tyler Malinowski; siblings, Matthew (Hallie) Pechaitis, Janie (Rick) Knapp, Andrew Murph, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Pechaitis and Katherine Elker (nee Leach); as well as her brother, Ricky Pechaitis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2024, 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at PO Box 676910, Dallas, TX 75267.
