June N. Varadi

June N. Varadi (nee Logan Myers), 94 of Lorain, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Community Health Partners following a short illness. She was born August 10, 1915 in Cuyahoga Falls and lived most of her life in Lorain. June was a homemaker to her three children and found her greatest joy in life in spending time with her family. She worked outside of the home as a housekeeper for numerous Lorain families, as well as at Heiman's Grill and the May Company cafeteria as a cook and at the Ajax Paper and Tube Company in Westlake. She was an accomplished seamstress, designing and sewing her own clothing and hats even as a young girl. She continued to sew clothes for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards and caring for her flowers and garden. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Bandagski of Mansfield and Carol (Carl) Zelek of Lorain; son, Jimmy (Sharon) Varadi of Westerville; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded-in-death by her father, Ralph H. Logan, mother and step-father, Ella Mae (nee Foster) and George E. Myers and a brother, Edward Logan Myers. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
