Kathleen Gardner

Kathleen Gardner (nee Lougeay), 73, of Vermilion, died unexpectedly, Friday, June 23, 2017 at her home. Kathleen was born March 20, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 44 years. She worked as a customer service representative for Leimbach Insurance that became Somers Insurance, Vermilion. She had also worked for Dr. Ruh, Vermilion. Kathleen enjoyed knitting, reading, sewing, and collecting. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Thomas Gardner of Vermilion; daughter, Elizabeth (Bill) Schlosser of Ashland; son, Bryan (Debra) Gardner of Ashland; step daughter, Julianne (Pete) Dennis of Canton; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and her sister, Jacqueline Long of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, John "Jack" and Ruby (nee Stephenson) Lougeay. Private services will be held.
