Kathleen Marie Jaskiewicz (nee Kallberg), 71, of Vermilion, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation after a short illness. She was born February 12, 1942 in Cleveland, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 37 years, moving from Independence. Kathleen was a fantastic artist and especially enjoyed painting and making crafts. She also enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking, and taking care of her family. Kathleen had been a beautician and a nurse's aid for 30 years, most recently working at Amherst Manor Nursing Home. She also worked at Pat Catan's Craft Centers for 5 years. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Jaskiewicz of Vermilion; daughter, Julie (Gregg) Zelina of Lorain; sons, Ken (Stacey) Jaskiewicz of Mansfield, Marc Jaskiewicz of Greenwich, and Carl Jaskiewicz of Vermilion; grandchildren, Brie Ann, Rian, Lauren, Ava, Timmy, Melanie, step grandchildren, Christopher and Craig; great granddaughter, Skarlett; brother, Karl (Barb) Kallberg of Middleburg Hts.; and sisters, Louise (Ron) Welch of Garfield Hts. and Mary (Dale) Drucker of South Euclid. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frances (nee Moranz) Kallberg; brother, Eric Kallberg; and sister, Susan Kallberg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH.
