Kathleen Myers

Kathleen Myers (nee Krutch), 72, of Vermilion, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice following a 16 year courageous battle against terminal cancer. She was born May 16, 1947 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 51 years moving from Elyria. Kathleen graduated from Elyria Catholic High school in 1965 and Elyria Cosmetology School. Kathleen had worked as a beautician for many years at various Beauty Salons in Lorain County. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she had been active in the Altar and Rosary Society.  Although Kathy was not a member of Rotary, she received the coveted Paul Harris Award for her diplomatic exploits in England.  She was an accomplished artist, seamstress, photographer, cook, and jewelry beader.  She enjoyed boating, traveling to Florida, United Kingdom, and Europe.  Most of all she lived for her family.  She cherished her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lee C. Myers of Vermilion; daughter, Renee' Myers of Vermilion; son, Mathew (Annette) Myers of Vermilion,  grandchildren, Bear Myers of Toledo, Skyler Myers of Vermilion, and Brady Myers of Vermilion, sisters, Jan (Ken) Vick of Columbus, and Joan(John) Bommer of Bryan; brother, Richard (Brenda) Krutch of Lorain; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Waters) Krutch. A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and streamed live on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at www.facebook.com/riddlefh due to the COVID 19 restrictions.  A celebration of Kathy's life will be also be held at a later date.
