Kathryn Burkey

Kathryn Burkey (nee Lothridge), 65, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. She was born May 5, 1951 in Lorain, and had been a life long Vermilion resident. She had attended Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain and enjoyed BINGO, bowling, fishing, boating, hunting, camping and supporting the veterans. She is survived by her sons, David Burkey and Chris (Dusty) Burkey both of Vermilion, daughters, Stephanie Burkey and Michelle Dudukovich both of Vermilion; 5 grandchildren: Samantha Dial, Courtney Kovalan, Nathen Burkey, Martina Dudukovich, and Nickolas Dudukovich; 1 great grandchild, Kaidyn Lee; sister, Deborah (Joe) Stroud of Vermilion; brothers, James (Loretta) Lothridge of Amherst, Robert (Carol) Lothridge of Vermilion, William (Sue) Lothridge of Amherst, Richard Lothridge of Amherst, and Michael Lothridge of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Charlotte (nee Lemley) Lothridge; husband, Carl Burkey; sister, Jacqueline Hall; and nephew Joe Stroud Jr. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 from 4 until the time of a funeral service at 7:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will be Monday, Oct. 17, 216 at 2:30 pm at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
